Our Story

Design With Purpose, Built to Last

Est. 2012

Maison began with a single question: why does premium design have to feel cold?

In 2012, Elena Marchetti opened the first Maison showroom in London's design quarter with a carefully chosen edit of furniture and objects — each piece selected for beauty, craft, and warmth. The idea was simple: luxury should feel lived-in.

Today, Maison spans two showrooms and serves over 8,400 homes across the UK and Europe. Our collection has grown, but the ethos hasn't changed: every piece we stock is one we'd want in our own homes.

We work with makers in Portugal, Japan, Scandinavia, and the UK — small studios and established manufacturers who share our obsession with material quality and honest design.

Our Approach

Design Philosophy

We don't believe in trends. We believe in spaces that will be just as beautiful in twenty years as they are today.

Lasting Craft

We source from makers who measure quality in decades, not seasons. Every piece is built to outlast trends.

Considered Design

Nothing in our collection is arbitrary. Every line, material, and finish serves a purpose — aesthetic and functional.

Sustainable Sourcing

We partner with suppliers who share our commitment to responsible forestry, fair labour, and minimal environmental impact.

Personal Service

Behind every purchase is a team of designers ready to listen, guide, and help you create a home you love.

Craftsmanship and materials

Craftsmanship

Made to Be Touched, Built to Be Kept

The difference between good furniture and great furniture is felt, not just seen. It's in the weight of a door, the grain of a timber, the resistance of a cushion. We spend months with our suppliers refining these details before a product enters our collection.

Our materials are selected for honesty: oak that shows its grain, linen that softens with use, ceramic that carries the mark of its maker's hand. Nothing is hidden, nothing is synthetic.

Solid Oak

Furniture frames, tables

Belgian Linen

Upholstery, soft furnishings

Portuguese Ceramic

Vessels, lighting bases
